Lawyers raise concerns over move to cut fees Mr Justin Chan said lawyers generally opposed scale costs, pointing out there is a court assessment process for clients who are dissatisfied with the legal bills and there are prescribed guidelines under the Rules of Court. He stressed that lawyers are aware clients face economic pressure and trial anxiety. "In terms of costs, I always try to view it from their perspective. No two cases are alike, so we do give an early indication of our costs and tailor the manpower to suit the clients' needs while giving best value for money," he added.
